Virginia Tech Transportation Institute

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute conducts research to save lives, time, and money and protect the environment. As one of seven premier research institutes created by Virginia Tech to answer national challenges, VTTI is continually advancing transportation through innovation and has affected public policy on national and international levels.

The institute’s Sharing the Road with Trucks program visits high schools and community events across the country with an experiential hands-on learning experience to provide knowledge and tools on how to safely interact with tractor-trailers and other large trucks on our nation’s roads in an effort to reduce crashes and save lives.
