Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that prepares students for careers that support the family through Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education. For more than 80 years, FCCLA has empowered students to lead, serve, and take action on real world issues that impact their families, communities, and future careers. FCCLA is uniquely positioned at the intersection of education and action, equipping students with the knowledge and leadership skills to address critical challenges, including traffic safety. Through national programs and partnerships with state and national highway safety leaders, FCCLA Members lead peer to peer initiatives that promote safe driving behaviors, prevent impaired and distracted driving, and strengthen community awareness efforts. With more than 260,000 FCCLA Members in over 5,400 chapters nationwide, FCCLA represents a powerful network of student leaders driving meaningful change. Guided by Family and Consumer Sciences educators, these students are not only learning about safety, responsibility, and decision making, they are putting those lessons into action to save lives and build safer communities across the nation.
